I laid a Brick

I opened up a wooden house
that the wolves could not blow
it too had straw to spare
and it was strewn on the earthen ground
where I also slept and ate
life had some simplicities

I learned how to make bricks
thus the mundane world was lost
and the age, the morn became
a construct of a new
it teemed
gave
glow

I laid a brick
the house was changed
not so much to not remain

a cocoon of stone
from whence
came a grown
